I know, I know, this is late. I know that most of you probably don’t care too much about these analyses anyway, since I don’t hear any of you complaining, but hey, why stop now? After all, I’m sure that, even if you don’t squee everytime I update, you still enjoy reading these. So, let’s get started with our analysis.
Let’s just start by saying that this Entry is a comparatively whopping 7:33 long. Jay is looking for the place in Entry #29. Since he has no idea how he got there, he naturally assumes that he had taken it in the general area he currently is, but hey, maybe he did. Aaaaanyway. He goes looking for the place in Entry #29. Why would you do that, Jay? I thought the goal was to get away from the Slender Man. On the other hand, he found blood. Naturally, he’d be curious and try to get to the bottom of things.
So he finds Rosswood park, which looks like the right place. It’s a large park with a series of trails in the trees. It’s worth noting now that he’s using the handheld camera instead of the chest one. He walks around, and there were some problems with video lag and framerate choppiness. However, Jay took the video down and reuploaded it, saying that it was due to the video being rendered poorly. The new video does run much more smoothly.
Jay walks around the paths, a bit of text informing us that most of the trails are old and poorly maintained. Of note is a guy in a black hoodie, who appears to be following Jay. That, or Jay is paranoid and going crazy.
After a while, Jay comes to a creek, and while it’s possible that a lot of other creeks have that type of coloration, I’m tempted to say that this is our place. Jay mutters something here, which sounds something like “It’s starting to rain.” That would explain why he doesn’t follow the river to find the culvert. He cuts the video short because it starts raining, and he won’t be able to record well if the camera lens gets soaked—not to mention it could ruin it entirely if the rain is heavy enough.
Anyway, at this point, he sees Black Hoodie Guy (let’s just call him Hoodie for future reference). Hoodie is standing completely still and looking at the ground. This causes Jay to freak out a bit. He tries approaching the man, trying to get his attention, but the man doesn’t seem to hear him. Finally, he taps Hoodie on the shoulder, and he turns around.
I’ve gotta admit, I was expecting a mask. But no, he was just listening to his iPod! All this buildup has either been one elaborate Cat Scare, or Hoodie’s playing dumb. It all depends on whether or not we see him again. Also, I can’t be the only one who expected Hoodie to grumble “Piss off, I’m taking a leak here.”
Jay heads back to the hotel, partially because of the rain and partially because of paranoia. He decides to talk to Jessica. We’re back to the chest cam here. She seems really pissy. I wonder. Actually, I don’t. He let’s slip that he “just got here,” and that “his job relocated him,” and she calls him on his bluff, reminding him that he was there because his house was being renovated. He lies to her face, of course.
This is when the…well, the most noteworthy part of the video comes. She asks if he’s been feeling all right. He says that apart from lack of sleep, he’s fine. And then, she asks if he’s dealt with memory loss.
Wham. How would she know that? Is she dealing with the same thing? Because that’s not the first thing you assume someone has. There are two options now: Jessica is in a similar situation and correctly assumes from his behavior that Jay is going through the same thing. That, or Jessica is a Masky of some sort and is taunting him by revealing that she knows who he is. Jay answers no, and says on Twitter that it’s because he doesn’t know if he can trust her. Can’t say I blame him.
Well, tomorrow I’m putting up an FAQ page where you can ask me questions. I’ll answer and put them up on a separate page tab once I’ve got enough questions.
